There is usually a metal plate on the back of the stove with Make Model and Serial Number.
To start a fire you usually open the flue so air rushes past and then close it down so wood does not burn up too quickly.

How do I determine the correct manual for my mom's wood stove? I don't know if I pull or push the flue when I start a fire and we are cold.
